Volunteer for Colorado Fourteeners Initiative

How can you spend a day on a Fourteener, help maintain, restore, and construct some of the best-made trails in Colorado, get your heart-rate pumping to burn approximately 6,000 calories without realizing that you’re exercising, AND have an unforgettable volunteer experience? By signing up for a Fourteener Volunteer project, of course! CFI is happy to announce even more volunteer opportunity openings for the summer of 2012. Check out the project information below, then sign-up by clicking here! It’s a rewarding and memorable experience that you’re sure to treasure for a lifetime.

Cheers!

General Project Information

Thank you for considering volunteering on Colorado’s Fourteeners! With an estimated half-million people hiking these peaks each year, they need a little love from mountain enthusiasts like you to keep trails in good condition. Rest assured, we’ll get an early alpine-start each morning and the work is physical, but you’ll enjoy the camaraderie of being with fellow Fourteener-fans, and the satisfaction of seeing the benefit of your work.

Volunteers must be minimum 18 years of age, or 14-17 if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers must be in reasonably good physical condition: expect the work to be comparable to a full day hike (such as hiking a Fourteener!) or a day of skiing.

For information on these and more volunteer options, check out their website!
